CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Tinkatink assembles pieces of iron to make its hammer. It strikes scraps together and starts construction again until satisfied with the result. It then swings the tool to protect itself. Yet the Pokédex highlights a difficulty: metal-eating Pokémon often steal its hammer. Making it is therefore not a one-time event. Its weapon can be lost, then patiently rebuilt from other pieces of iron.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Violet says Tinkatink remakes its hammer as many times as needed to be satisfied with it. Pokémon Scarlet gives another reason to start again: metal-loving Pokémon sometimes steal the tool it has made.
