CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Night Stretcher retrieves a card from your discard pile and puts it into your hand. The choice is either a Pokémon or a basic Energy. This recovery can therefore regain a companion or restore an Energy resource according to the turn's needs. It does not allow taking both together and does not return the card directly to play: using it remains a later step.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The word or defines Night Stretcher's choice: a Pokémon or a basic Energy. Only one card is retrieved. The basic restriction concerns the Energy and does not restrict the Pokémon to its Basic stage.
