CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Toxapex can fold its twelve legs into a dome around its body. This protection helps it withstand tides and, in Galar's harsh climate, retain warmth. Beneath the defense lies a formidable venom sac. The Pokédex states that its poison would make even a Wailord suffer for several days. Its tactic therefore combines effective closure against the environment with a substance dangerous to those approaching.

A detail worth noticing

Ultra Moon counts twelve legs on Toxapex and describes the dome they form against tides. Pokémon Sword also gives it a thermal role in Galar. Pokémon Shield provides a striking measure of its venom: even Wailord would suffer for three days.
