CARDEX BACKGROUND
The role of this Energy
Boomerang Energy provides Colorless Energy. If it is discarded by the effect of an attack used by its holder, it reattaches to that Pokémon from the discard pile after the attack. The card can return directly to its holder in this situation without passing through your hand or triggering from just any opposing discard effect.
Background on this Special Energy’s effect; the printed text, edition and finish of each card remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
The cause of the discard is decisive: it must come from the holder's attack. An outside effect removing the Energy is insufficient, and the stated return targets the same Pokémon rather than another recipient.
