CARDEX BACKGROUND

About this Pokémon form

Mega Evolution's energy raises Absol's fur until it resembles wings. This new silhouette accompanies increased speed and attacking power. In Pokémon X and Y, Mega Absol's presentation emphasizes its ability to settle a confrontation quickly: the transformation equips it to hit hard before its opponent can react.

A detail worth noticing

Yet this power does not reflect a desire to fight. The Pokédex specifies that Absol hates taking this form for battle because it normally dislikes confrontations. A formidable transformation can therefore remain undesirable to the Pokémon itself.
