CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Roaring Moon remains a difficult creature to place. An old expedition journal may mention it by this name, but the Pokédex emphasizes that the document retains many mysteries. A magazine described as dubious also suggests a connection with a phenomenon observed in a certain region. Neither lead is offered as a confirmed explanation. Its public history thus rests on fragile clues: a possible old mention and a more recent interpretation of uncertain reliability.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Scarlet does not confirm that Roaring Moon is the creature in the expedition journal: it speaks of a possibility. Pokémon Violet cites a dubious magazine for another hypothesis and likewise leaves that connection without established proof.
