CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Air Balloon reduces the Retreat Cost of the Pokémon holding it by two Colorless Energy. The Tool helps that Pokémon leave the Active Spot by retreating without itself performing a switch. The benefit concerns this movement cost; it does not reduce the Energy requirements of attacks available to the holder.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
The reduction does not automatically mean every holder can retreat for free. It removes two Colorless components from the listed cost, so a remaining cost can still exist when the original was higher.
