CARDEX BACKGROUND

About this Pokémon form

Alola's abundant vegetation makes life difficult for Marowak, which learned to control fire to survive in the region. Its bone also preserves a family history: it supposedly belonged to its mother. The Pokédex recounts that her regrets turned into a vengeful spirit, becoming the protector of the Pokémon now carrying this inheritance.

Background on this form in the video games; this card’s attacks, edition and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Alolan Marowak honor their departed companions. Small earthen mounds visible beside paths mark their graves. This funerary custom is described in the Pokédex and gives particular meaning to these modest traces left in the landscape.
