CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Rellor shapes a mud ball by mixing sand, earth and psychic energy. It then pushes it ahead with extreme care, as though it were worth more than its own life. Rolling it lets the energy needed for evolution mature inside. The Pokédex thus connects a repeated gesture with a future transformation. This ball is not a disposable toy: it accompanies development until evolution.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Scarlet notes that Rellor's ball contains psychic energy as well as sand and earth. Pokémon Violet explains why it keeps rolling it: the energy necessary for its evolution gradually matures inside.
