The Pokémon’s story

Persian moves with a suppleness that makes its footsteps almost inaudible. Its six large whiskers detect air movements and help it sense what is nearby. Its elegant bearing and forehead gem attract collectors, but its proud nature makes it difficult to tame. If it feels annoyed, its claws emerge quickly. The Pokédex thus contrasts the grace of its gait with very real vigilance and aggression.

Persian’s forehead gem attracts thieves, according to Pokémon Ultra Moon. The same entry states that it was prized by the wealthy. Its prestigious appearance therefore has a downside: the ornament that makes it famous can also make it a target.
