The Pokémon’s story

Pheromosa is an Ultra Beast from another world. Its slim, supple silhouette conceals considerable strength, and it can cross land at startling speed. Yet it avoids touching things around it; one entry supposes that it considers them dirty, without making this certain. Its presence alarms this world's inhabitants, while the Pokédex says it is apparently common in its place of origin. The perceived danger therefore also depends on the world where it is encountered.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Moon offers only a hypothesis for Pheromosa's reluctance to touch its surroundings: it may consider them unclean. Pokémon Ultra Moon adds that an Ultra Beast dangerous here can be an ordinary organism in its own world. Pokémon Sun emphasizes its speed on land.
