CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Fletchinder defends a vast territory against other members of its species. To hunt, it fires sparks or embers near its prey’s shelters, then catches those that emerge with its talons. This method also works against Bug-type Pokémon hidden in grass. Its rapid take-off gives it an advantage before the victim understands where danger comes from. The Pokédex shows a bird whose fire prepares the hunt as much as it accompanies battle.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Moon credits Fletchinder with territory spanning several kilometres, closed to its own kind. Pokémon Sword describes sparks sent into a burrow to drive prey out. Its fire therefore controls both its domain and the movements of its food.
