Energia Erba

CARDEX BACKGROUND

The role of this Energy

A basic Grass Energy prepares attacks whose cost includes the Grass symbol. The player attaches it to a Pokémon from their hand and must choose the moment carefully, because the rules normally allow only one Energy attachment per turn. In the Sun & Moon—Ultra Prism rulebook, Grass Pokémon are associated with healing and poisoning. The Energy card does none of these things on its own, however: it enables the use of attacks that provide for them.

A detail worth noticing

The same rulebook distinguishes eleven Pokémon types, but its list of basic Energy cards contains only nine. Dragon and Colorless are among the Pokémon types without a basic Energy bearing their own symbol. The correspondence between Pokémon type and Energy card is therefore not always direct.
