The Pokémon’s story

Below the surface, Onix opens a path through rock. Its immense stone body advances by burrowing and feeds on boulders encountered along the way. Above it, tremors reveal this underground journey. Yet the tunnels do not disappear after it leaves: they become shelters for Diglett, extending the effect of its passage into other Pokémon’s lives.

A detail worth noticing

Onix has a magnet in its brain that acts as a compass while it digs. The Omega Ruby Pokédex adds that as it ages, the stones of its body become rounder and smoother. These two details tell of its underground life without depending on a particular card.
