CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Thick Scale reduces the damage its Dragon holder receives from opposing Grass, Fire, Water, or Lightning Pokémon's attacks by fifty. The reduction applies after Weakness and Resistance. The Tool combines a requirement on the defender's type with a precise list of attacker types rather than offering the same protection against every opposing attack.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Dragon is required of the Tool's holder. For the attacker, only the four named types trigger the reduction; the effect does not select an attached Energy to determine the opposing Pokémon's type.

Printed card effect
