CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Lotad floats on the surface of ponds and lakes, its life closely tied to its large leaf. If the leaf withers, the Pokémon weakens too. It sometimes leaves the water to seek a cleaner environment. Its calm existence as a small floating inhabitant depends on a fragile balance between the health of its leaf and that of its habitat.

A detail worth noticing

On Lotad sm7-36, the attack deals 10 damage for one Water Energy, then randomly selects a card from the opponent's hand. The opponent reveals that card and shuffles it into their deck. Atsuko Nishida illustrated an attack affecting both the Active Pokémon and the options still in hand.
