CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Boltund generates the electricity that accompanies its runs. It sends it into its legs to accelerate and uses this energy to increase the power of its limbs. The Pokédex states that it can race for three days and three nights. Its top speed slightly exceeds ninety kilometres per hour. Electricity is therefore more than an attack for Boltund: it directly fuels the prolonged effort that characterises its movements.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

The two Galar entries describe different aspects of Boltund’s running. Pokémon Sword mentions a run lasting three days and three nights; Pokémon Shield gives a top speed just over 90 km/h. In both cases, its legs receive the electrical energy it produces.
