CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Totodile readily approaches anything that moves with its jaws. Small but vigorous, it bites without always appreciating what its strength means for others. Its enthusiasm may feel like play from its perspective, while the pressure it exerts is very real. This difference between intention and effect defines a companion whose energy easily overflows.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

In the evolution data associated with Pokémon Gold and Silver, Totodile becomes Croconaw starting at level 18, then Feraligatr starting at level 30. Twelve levels separate these thresholds: this precise progression concerns the video games, not a rule of the TCG.
