CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Iron Hands strongly resembles a cyborg reportedly mentioned only in a paranormal magazine. This account claims that the machine is the transformed state of a certain athlete, but the Pokédex reports the story without confirming it. Another entry compares the Pokémon with an object named Iron Hands in an expedition journal. The accounts thus describe resemblances, while the athlete's identity and the reality of the transformation remain beyond reach.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

The athlete transformed into a cyborg belongs to a paranormal magazine story cited by Scarlet. Violet gives another reference, an expedition-journal object. Neither entry establishes that Iron Hands was once a human being.
