CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Dratini long belonged to stories people believed without being able to verify them. The Pokédex relates that its capture by a fisherman confirmed its existence. Near fast-flowing water and the foot of waterfalls, it grows by shedding its skin several times. The legendary Pokémon then becomes a living being, occupied with the ordinary transformations of growing up.

A detail worth noticing

Two Dratini open this expansion. No. 1 may Paralyze the Defending Pokémon, but only after a coin flip; No. 2 makes it Asleep without that flip and also has a 10-damage attack. These neighboring cards give the same species two different effects.
