CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Crabominable is said to have reached a snowy summit after getting lost during its ascent. To survive the cold, it developed a thick coat. Its claws now concentrate freezing power before striking hard enough to break a thick wall of ice. Faced with danger, the Pokédex shows it quicker to punch than to think. One story even says it pushed back an avalanche with its claws.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Sun states that Crabominable's icy blows break a thick ice wall. Pokémon Moon says it can detach its claws and throw them as a last resort. Its arsenal therefore includes both a close-range strike and a ranged defense.
