Fusion Strike / #197/264
Printed language: English · Pokémon
CARDEX BACKGROUND
Goodra seems gentle and seeks contact with people it bonds with. Its slimy skin and protective fat layer let it absorb blows. Yet its boundaries must be respected: its long horns and tail can respond violently to provocation. The Pokédex also describes a Pokémon sometimes puzzled by its Trainer's orders. This endearing awkwardness should not obscure its body's power.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Ultra Sun warns Trainers that Goodra likes rubbing against them despite its slimy body. Yet Pokémon Shield describes extremely powerful horn strikes. Its affection is real in the entries, but its size requires distance at the wrong moment.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
Its form of offense is forcefully stretching out its horns. The strikes land 100 times harder than any blow from a heavyweight boxer.Ability
As long as this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, whenever your opponent tries to attach an Energy card from their hand to a Pokémon, they must flip a coin. If tails, your opponent discards that Energy card instead of attaching it, and this doesn't use up their Energy attachment for the turn.Cost: Water · Psychic
Damage: 120
