CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Clefable seeks peaceful mountains and moves away from humans as soon as it senses their presence. Its exceptionally keen hearing is said to detect a needle falling more than a kilometre away, making quiet precious to it. It moves in little hops so light that the Pokédex sometimes describes it walking on water. Stories place it beside lakes on clear moonlit nights. Its discretion explains why these encounters remain rare and so readily acquire a legendary character.

A detail worth noticing

A tradition reported in Pokémon Moon promises a happy marriage to anyone who sees a Clefable frolicking. The Pokédex clearly presents this promise as a belief. The rarity of its appearances has fed such stories, while its hearing explains why it often avoids busy places.
