CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Mareanie crawls along beaches and seabeds in search of food. In Alola, Corsola branches are among its favorite meals, making it unpopular with artisans who collect those branches. The situation differs in Galar, where Mareanie have not yet discovered this taste. Its stings, however, are dangerous everywhere: numbness may be followed by intense itching. If its body is injured, one night often suffices to regenerate its parts, except for the head.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield distinguishes Galar's habits: Mareanie there does not yet know the flavor of Corsola branches. Pokémon Ultra Moon specifies that most of its parts regrow after a night's rest. Pokémon Sword describes the first symptoms of a sting.
