The Pokémon’s story

Shuckle stays motionless beneath stones to avoid attacks. Its sturdy shell protects its body and holds the Berries it keeps for food. These supplies do not remain unchanged: mixed with its bodily fluids, they gradually turn into juice. Shuckle's refuge thus brings together protection and food while the Pokémon remains hidden beneath its stone shelter.

A detail worth noticing

Shuckle's food supply changes over time. Pokémon Omega Ruby explains that Berries mixed with its bodily fluids become juice. Its shell therefore serves both as a container and as a place where its food is transformed.
