CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Wattrel nests on seaside cliffs. When the wind catches its wings, their bones generate electricity. It then dives into the ocean to catch prey by electrocuting it. The Pokédex also describes its nests as having a crackling texture and being prized as a delicacy. Wind, cliffs and water all play a role in its life: one supplies its electricity, while the others provide nesting places and hunting grounds.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Violet notes that Wattrel's nests have a crackling texture and are sought after as a delicacy. Pokémon Scarlet explains the current in its wings: wind makes their bones generate electricity, which Wattrel then uses to hunt at sea.
