CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Palpitoad moves between water and dry land to seek prey. It vibrates the bump on its head and other protrusions to send waves through water or weaken a target. Once the target is disoriented, its long, sticky tongue grabs it. Yet some of its calls are described as pleasant, and their range increases with the size of its bumps. The Pokédex shows a hunter skilled in both vibration and movement.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Black credits Palpitoad's vibrations with ripples and even ground tremors. Pokémon Shield connects the range of its call with the size of its bumps. The same structures thus have perceptible effects in water, on land and in the air.
