CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Keldeo crosses seas and rivers by running across their surface. According to the Pokédex, it appears near very pure water. Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion taught it to fight, but it continues training as it travels. It can spray water from its hooves to accelerate and strike with a decisive kick. In difficult battles, its horn is said to grow stronger. Its journey therefore combines a search for clear water with learning that is not yet finished.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword names Keldeo’s three mentors: Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion. Pokémon Shield reports that its horn grows during difficult battles, which is said to awaken its power. Its training continues after its companions’ lessons.
