CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Punk Helmet places four damage counters on the attacker when its Darkness-type holder is Active and takes damage from an opposing attack. Retaliation is still specified even if the holder is Knocked Out. The Tool combines type, position, and incoming-damage requirements. It does not respond identically on every Pokémon to which it could be attached.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Punk Helmet requires a Darkness-type holder in the Active Spot. Its Knock Out does not prevent the explicitly stated consequence: four counters on the attacker. The text describes triggered counter placement from equipment, not an additional attack by the holder.

Printed card effect
