CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Grovyle crosses dense jungle by leaping from branch to branch. Its thigh muscles give it great jumping height, while the leaves on its body help it vanish into foliage. It thus approaches prey or escapes a pursuer. The Pokédex states that even a very fast Pokémon would struggle to catch it in the forest. The tree canopy becomes both a running track and camouflage.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Omega Ruby attributes Grovyle's camouflage to the leaves on its body. Pokémon Alpha Sapphire emphasizes its speed among branches. It is therefore hard to follow not only because it is fast: the forest also hides it.
