CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Tapu Lele is Akala's guardian. It draws energy from the fragrance of flowers and scatters glowing scales as it flies. The Pokédex says these can heal injured beings or bring smiles to those they touch. This protective reputation coexists with a temperament described as innocent and cruel. Residents consider it a guardian deity without that title erasing the possible dangers of an encounter.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Sun credits Tapu Lele's shining scales with healing power within the game world. Yet Pokémon Ultra Moon emphasizes its possible cruelty. Being Akala's guardian therefore does not mean it protects everyone it meets indiscriminately.
