CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Fearow flies for long periods without tiring, even when carrying a load. It searches for fish over the sea and may seize food carried by a traveler entering its territory. Its existence is ancient: murals are said to show its silhouette already. At the slightest threat, it quickly gains altitude. The Pokédex describes an enduring bird whose movements connect hunting, territorial defense and a presence noticed since antiquity.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Moon mentions ancient depictions of Fearow in murals. Pokémon Ultra Moon shows it circling above the sea in search of fish. The same large bird's profile thus connects old human testimony with its present-day hunting.
