Dark Claw adds twenty damage to its holder's attacks when that holder is a Darkness Pokémon. The bonus concerns damage to the Active Pokémon and applies before Weakness and Resistance. The Tool strengthens an attacker of the required type without adding Energy or requiring a particular Pokémon category of the attack's target.
