The Pokémon’s story

Skitty sometimes lives in tree hollows, but is familiar enough with humans to become a sought-after companion. The movement of almost any object catches its attention. It pursues it, even running in circles after its own tail, sometimes until dizzy. The Pokédex describes a small Pokémon whose curiosity often outweighs the aim of hunting: what matters seems to be movement, even when the target belongs to itself.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Omega Ruby relates that Skitty chases its tail until its head spins. Pokémon Alpha Sapphire places its wild shelters in tree cavities. This scene often observed in a pet therefore also exists in its forest life.
