CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
Bruxish hides beneath sand and explores its surroundings through the appendage on its head. This organ also projects psychic powers capable of numbing prey before Bruxish crushes them with large teeth. Its thick skin even withstands Mareanie's spikes. The Pokédex describes an ambush hunter that locates food without leaving cover, then immobilizes it before using its powerful jaws.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
Pokémon Ultra Sun places Bruxish's prey detection in its head appendage while buried. Pokémon Ultra Moon notes that its skin withstands Mareanie's spikes. Its hiding place and natural armor contribute together to the ambush.
