CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Alakazam’s brain is said to keep growing throughout its life. Its head becomes so heavy that it supports it through telekinesis. The Pokédex credits it with exceptional memory and intelligence capable of retaining its experiences for years. Its psychic powers are strong enough to discomfort anyone who comes too close. Yet it can also use this force delicately, even shaping the spoons it holds in its hands.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Sun relates that Alakazam makes its own spoons with its psychic powers, each one unique. Pokémon Ultra Moon adds that it may give one to a person it trusts completely. The object then becomes a sign of friendship as much as a feature of its appearance.
