CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Ether reveals the top card of your deck. If it is a basic Energy, you attach it to one of your Pokémon; otherwise, you return it to the top of the deck. This Item tries to turn the next card into a resource on the field without automatically discarding a card of the wrong category.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

A revealed Special Energy does not meet the basic Energy requirement and goes back on top. The text does not shuffle that card into the others after the attachment fails, so its position is preserved.
