CARDEX BACKGROUND
Iron Leaves shares several physical traits with the future Virizion described by a paranormal magazine. The Pokédex does not thereby establish that this account truly explains its origin. The rare witnesses who reportedly saw it instead describe what it can do: its shining blades are said to have sliced large trees and boulders into thin strips. Its portrait is therefore built from a reported resemblance and scarce testimony, without turning a magazine's claims into certainties.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Scarlet compares Iron Leaves with a futuristic Virizion shown in a paranormal magazine, without validating that magazine's story. Pokémon Violet attributes the account of blades capable of cutting trees and rocks to the few witnesses.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
