CARDEX BACKGROUND
Sealeo spins any round object it finds on its nose, sometimes even a Spheal. While balancing it, it identifies its smell and texture to decide whether it likes it. This game resembles a way of exploring the unfamiliar. On sea ice, it also uses smell to locate prey while swimming. The Pokédex thus connects its amusing curiosity with a sense useful for feeding.

Pokémon Sword reports that it detects prey by smell in water. Its balancing game therefore also uses a sense important to its hunting.
