CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Karen's Conviction increases the damage of your Single Strike Pokémon's attacks according to how many Prize cards the opponent has already taken. Each Prize taken adds twenty damage against their Active Pokémon before Weakness and Resistance. The Supporter therefore becomes stronger as the opponent progresses, but remains limited to this turn and to attackers bearing the Single Strike designation.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Karen's Conviction counts Prize cards the opponent has taken, not those they have left. Two Prizes taken mean forty additional damage. The bonus applies only to attacks by your Single Strike Pokémon directed at the opponent's Active Pokémon.
