CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Scovillain's two heads react differently to the spicy substances in its body. The red one turns them into fire energy and sprays scorching flames around it. The green one becomes fierce when those same substances stimulate its brain; once driven into violent anger, it is difficult to stop. The Pokédex therefore does not describe interchangeable ornaments. Each head draws a distinct effect from the spice, one on its breath and the other on its temperament.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Scarlet credits Scovillain's red head with converting spice into fire energy. Pokémon Violet assigns a different response to the green head: the same substances make it aggressively frenzied.
