Choice Belt increases damage from its bearer's attacks by thirty against the opponent's Active Pokémon if it is a Pokémon V. The calculation occurs before Weakness and Resistance. The Tool therefore rewards a precise matchup and does not provide the same addition against every target. Nor does it alter attack damage directed anywhere other than the relevant Active Pokémon.
