CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Pawniard lives in groups under the authority of a Bisharp. Its body is covered in blades that it uses to corner prey, sometimes alongside other members of the pack. After battle, it heads to riverbanks to sharpen its weapons on stones; each individual may even favour a particular pebble. The Pokédex relates that it trains relentlessly in the hope of one day leading its group. Its life combines collective discipline with personal ambition.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Sun reports that each Pawniard has a favourite stone for sharpening its blades. This practice follows fights and maintains its body like a weapon. Pokémon Shield adds that it sometimes dreams of becoming leader of the pack it serves.
