CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Goodra seems gentle and seeks contact with people it bonds with. Its slimy skin and protective fat layer let it absorb blows. Yet its boundaries must be respected: its long horns and tail can respond violently to provocation. The Pokédex also describes a Pokémon sometimes puzzled by its Trainer's orders. This endearing awkwardness should not obscure its body's power.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Sun warns Trainers that Goodra likes rubbing against them despite its slimy body. Yet Pokémon Shield describes extremely powerful horn strikes. Its affection is real in the entries, but its size requires distance at the wrong moment.
