CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Bibarel cuts branches and roots with its incisors to build mud-and-bark dams along rivers. The structures it makes withstand water and can help nearby residents. The Pokédex gives it a reputation as a skilled worker. Its constructions are therefore more than piles of wood: they alter the current and become strong enough to protect places where humans and Pokémon live near the river.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Black describes Bibarel's dams as useful to riverside residents. Pokémon X notes that it cuts wood with its incisors, and Pokémon Y names mud and bark. The structure's strength therefore begins with carefully assembled materials.
