CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Surskit glides across lakes and marshes where aquatic plants grow. It sometimes competes with Dewpider for food and territory. If danger appears, the top of its head produces a sweet, thick liquid. This syrup attracts some Pokémon, but its taste or smell can also repel birds. The Pokédex shows a surprising defense: the same secretion can appeal to some and discourage others.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Alpha Sapphire says some Pokémon enjoy Surskit's sweet liquid. Pokémon Moon instead describes its repellent effect on birds. Pokémon Ultra Sun even says it is made into syrup for bread within the game world.
