CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Volcanion lives in rarely visited mountains. Steam accumulating inside its body escapes through the arms mounted on its back. It can turn this into a concealing cloud or release it in a jet of immense force. The Pokédex even credits it with the ability to level mountains using this pressure. Away from human homes, its power therefore shifts from concealment to violence capable of reshaping the surrounding terrain.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon X describes the cloud of steam in which Volcanion conceals itself. Pokémon Y attributes enough force to the release through its back-mounted arms to level a mountain. The same steam thus serves as a veil or a projectile.
