CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Froakie maintains a relaxed air while carefully observing its surroundings. Its body, covered in delicate bubbles, seems light and almost carefree, but this covering protects its skin. The contrast defines its presence well: a peaceful appearance accompanies real vigilance. This Pokémon does not necessarily reveal everything it perceives, and its visible gentleness means neither distraction nor a lack of defence.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Froakie’s bubbles come from its chest and back. Pokémon X explains that they are soft and reduce damage when it is attacked. This foam therefore has a cushioning function beyond its characteristic appearance.
