CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Fighting Gong searches your deck for a resource intended for Fighting type. You may choose either a basic Fighting Energy or a Basic Fighting Pokémon. The found card is revealed and enters your hand before shuffling the deck. This choice addresses two possible needs but does not allow recovering a Pokémon and an Energy simultaneously.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Fighting Gong's two options share Fighting type and the basic restriction. The effect requires one card from either category. Neither an Evolution Pokémon nor Energy of another type meets this search.
