CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
Grubbin digs a burrow in forest soil with its large mandibles and readily feeds on sweet sap. It may stay near Electric-type Pokémon to avoid bird attacks. If an intruder reaches its nest, it bites; against a more mobile enemy, it first spits sticky thread to immobilize it. The Pokédex presents a small forest dweller whose defenses combine its choice of neighbors, traps and robust jaws.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
Pokémon Moon reports that Grubbin stays near Electric-type Pokémon to reduce the risk of bird attacks. Pokémon Shield describes its burrow dug with its mandibles. It therefore does not rely solely on its bite to stay safe.
